When it comes to cancer there are many
different misconceptions. However, the misconception that I would like to
clarify the most in my argument of fact would have to be the financial
situation of the family and prove if outside organizations pay for the medical
expenses. Most people don’t always see or have any idea of the financial
situation that the family of the cancer patient goes through and how much debt
they get in to. In my argument of fact I would like to provide some new
information about the different ways in which the family can get in to debt.
Also, I would like to provide the different ways in which the family starts to
loose their jobs. The overall issue I would like to discuss is the family’s
financial situation during the hard times they face with cancer patients.
My hypothesis is that the family gets
help paying for the medical expenses through their insurance and other
organizations and that they have trouble paying for personal expenses because
they looses their job. Some facts that might convince the readers would be the
statistics of the number of people who have lost their jobs or quit because of
being with the patient. Also, the testimonies of people who have a loved one
with cancer and who have had financial situations because of it. Some facts
that I still need are the different types of organizations that are available
to cancer patients to help pay for medical expenses. Also, I need the different
types of ways that people get in to debt because of cancer. Thank you for your
interest on this subject.
This is a thoughtful beginning--nice job thinking about what the public doesn't understand about this situation.
