My Proposal

In order for the families of cancer patients to not have a great deal of financial problems, the government should give out grants. If the government gives grants to patients and their families than they would get a great deal of positive feedback from all Americans. The grants would help pay for treatments and medical expenses as well as help with personal expenses with family providers who do not have jobs because they are taking care of the patients. However, some people might object because they might think that the government should not be wasting any more money and getting into more debt. Also, people might think that it is lazy for the family provider not to work and that they should get a job to pay for the expenses themselves.
Another solution that might help solve the problem is starting an organization to where people can contribute to help pay for treatment for people with cancer. The organization could raise money by hosting events that catch people’s attention and bring awareness to the disease. A reason to which people might abject this solution is because they might think that people will not want to spend money on something that has no benefit to them. Also, they might think that the organization favors some people over others and that all the money does not go to the patients.

Finally, another solution that might solve the financial situation of the families is the individuals help. At the end of the day everyone is human and people should help other individuals without any benefit to themselves. If every single person in the United States gave a dollar, than many patients could afford to get treatment and be saved. However, it all goes back to the people not wanting to waste their own money to help others, which is the overall objection to these solutions.
