After thinking about what topic I
should write about I finally decided on something that is really close to my
heart and that I care very deeply about. I decided that my topic would be the
affect of cancer on the family and how it can lead to an overwhelming
lifestyle. The reason why I decided on this topic is because my own family went
through difficult circumstances because of cancer. Also, many people don’t
realize the affect that it has on the family.
If you don’t have any background with
cancer you might ask yourself these questions:
What are the affects on the family?
Why is the family affected?
What kind of lifestyle do those
families live?
How can the public help?
Why isn’t the public aware of this
problem?
Why doesn’t the government offer help
to the families?
While
looking at these questions I can see that the questions that would be more
useful for my topic would be the questions that tell the affects that cancer
has on the family and how people in the community and all over the world could
help those families. My topic is very important not only to me but also to
everyone who has a family member who has suffered or is suffering from cancer.
Cancer has been known for taking the lives of many people. Not only are there
many different types of cancer but it also affects people of all ages and both
women and men. I am working on the affects of cancer on the family leading to
an overwhelming lifestyle because I want to find out why the public isn’t aware
of the problem in order to help my reader understand how to help the families.
This is a great topic. I have to admit, I don't know very much about what organizations or programs are out there to help family members who are helping a loved one get through cancer treatments or who have lost a loved one to cancer.
